Lovely hall tree circa 1920. Features beveled mirror, storage box and and ceramic lily-motif center inset. The bottom half features two umbrella stands with galvanized rain catcher basins in the foot.

The elegant vertical lines of the frame are balanced by more traditional curves in the details, giving an overall impression somewhere between Art Nouveau and early Deco. Light checking in the soft black finish reveals its antiquity only upon close inspection.
